Trekking in Nepal
British citizen H.W. Tilman became the first westerner to be given permission to walk Nepal’s mountains (Himalayas) in 1949. Then after thousands of travelers put their footsteps in the low land to the high Himalayan Peaks including the top of the world. Trekking in Nepal is not only the objective of walking from place to place, it is more a gradual way of experiencing Nepal’s diversity in terms of geography, peoples, religion & it’s art & culture. In earlier time to be a trekker & to complete the route you planned was not easy work because there were not the good trails we have these days. Also there was a huge lack of the equipment & manpower as well as the teahouses so popular on the trekking routes. We have come a long way in our trekking history so we can plan our trekking according to our requirements & budget.
