Mustang Trekking
18 DaysThis region, also known as the Forbidden Kingdom was opened for tourists only in 1991 with limited numbers of people can visit in a year. This high desertic region is north of Jomsom, the headquater of this district. Jomsom is in the lower Mustang & the major part is the upper Mustang. The region is geographically and culturally part of Tibet and has a long rich and complex history, thus offering trekkers to explore the natural beautiful desertic landscape but also monasteries, castles and life styles unaffected by the outside modern world. It is very much different than the other trekking routes in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. This area is quite expansive for trekkers because we have to apply for the special trekking permit through the government registered trekking company in Immigration office & have to pay USD 500.00 per person for ten days from Kagbeni to Kagbeni. In addition it require minimum of 2 people in a group.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1350m.)& Transfer to hotel, briefing of the trip and welcome dinner O/N hotel (D)
Day 02: Trip preparation and half day guided sightseeing in Kathmandu (B)
Day 03: KTM to Pokhara (915m.) by tourist bus and explore around O/N hotel (B )
Day 04: Fly to Jomsom (2720m.), trek to Kagbeni (2810m.) (4 hrs) O/N lodge
Day 05: Trek Kagbeni to Chhukasang (2980m.) (5-6 hrs). O/N lodge
Day 06: Trek Chhukasang to Geling (3570m) (7-8 hrs). O/N lodge
Day 07: Trek Geling to Ghami (3520m.) (6-7 hrs). O/N lodge
Day 08: Trek Ghami to Tsarang (3560m.) (4-5 hrs). O/N lodge
Day 09: Trek Tsarang to Lo-Manthang (3810m.) O/N lodge
Day 10: Trek Lo-Manthang Expolre O/N lodge (
Day 11: Trek Lo-Manthang to Yara. (6 hrs). O/N lodge
