Once you check in and settle, the representative will provide a detailed program briefing, including an overview of your upcoming tour.
Today, you begin the Darjeeling Sikkim tour with a scenic morning flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, a gateway to eastern Nepal. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and assisted for a comfortable drive to the Kakarvitta border, where you will complete the necessary immigration formalities. Once across the border to India, you continue the picturesque journey through lush tea gardens and hilly landscapes toward Darjeeling. The drive, about 5 hrs, offers stunning views of the Himalayan foothills. Upon reaching Darjeeling, you check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening at leisure, soaking in the cool mountain air and colonial charm. You stay overnight in Darjeeling.
Today, you begin your day early with a visit to the famous Tiger Hill to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak. On your way back, you stop at the Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track offering panoramic views of the mountains, and visit the tranquil Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest in the region. After breakfast at the hotel, you continue the exploration with a visit to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. Later, you enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center and take in the scenic beauty at a local tea garden, where you can learn about Darjeeling’s world–renowned tea production. You can wrap up the day with a bit of adventure by visiting Tenzing Rock, or relax and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Today, you check out of your hotel in Darjeeling after breakfast and begin your scenic drive to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The journey takes about 4-5 hrs, winding through lush green hills, tea gardens, and picturesque river valleys. Along the way, you enjoy glimpses of local villages and the serene Teesta River, which accompanies you for much of the route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, you check in at your hotel and take some time to relax. In the evening, you take a stroll along MG Marg, the vibrant heart of Gangtok, filled with cafes, shops, and a lively atmosphere. This peaceful and well-maintained street is the perfect place to unwind as well as get a first taste of Sikkim’s unique culture. You stay overnight in Gangtok.
Today, you begin the day with a hearty breakfast before exploring the charming city of Gangtok. You start the day with a visit to the majestic Rumtek Monastery, one of the most significant centers of Tibetan Buddhism in Sikkim, known for its intricate architecture and peaceful ambiance. Then, you visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, which houses a fascinating collection of Tibetan artifacts, ancient manuscripts, and Buddhist icons. You continue to the serene Do Drul Chorten stupa and the nearby Enchey Monastery, both offering spiritual insight and scenic views. Later, you enjoy panoramic sights of the Himalayas from Tashi View Point and visit the hilltop temples of Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok, surrounded by lush greenery. In the evening, you return to your hotel and relax or take another walk along MG Marg to soak in the local vibe.
After breakfast, you check out from your hotel in Gangtok and begin your journey back to Nepal. You enjoy a scenic drive through the hills as you make your way to the Kakarbhitta border, passing through charming towns and lush landscapes along the way. After completing the immigration formalities at the border, you continue the short drive to Bhadrapur Airport. Then, you board your flight back to Kathmandu, bringing an end to your memorable Darjeeling-Sikkim adventure. After arrival in Kathmandu, you are transferred to your hotel. The evening is free and easy in Kathmandu for individual activities.
On the final day of your journey, a special Trip Conclude Ceremony will be organized by Manaslu Adventure Treks. During this heartfelt event, the team will express gratitude for your participation and acknowledge the memorable experiences shared throughout the adventure. Also, the clients are free to provide feedback, which is valuable for the team to understand their experience and gather insights to improve future trips. As a token of appreciation, a souvenir will be presented to you, symbolizing the lasting memories of your adventure and deep connection to Nepal’s culture and natural beauty.
The day concludes with a final goodbye and transfer arrangements to your onward destination, whether to the airport or your next journey within Nepal. The team will ensure your departure is smooth and filled with warm wishes for future travels.
For trip confirmation, please make a down payment minimum of USD 200.00 or 20% of the total cost. In some cases, the trip cost could be high depending upon the domestic flight or trekking & expedition. In such cases, we will inform you accordingly. Please note that the deposit amount is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. However, the trip could be rescheduled again. The remaining dues must be paid 15 days before departure by bank transfer or on arrival in Kathmandu.
No refund will be made for the initial booking confirmation amount provided under any circumstances of cancellation. However, we offer to reschedule your trip for any other date of next season or within a year. Manaslu Adventure Treks will refund you if you have paid a further amount of the trip cost. If the cancellation is made before 30 days of the trip start date, then, a full refund will be made except the booking confirmation amount. Likewise, a 50% refund will be made on cancellation before 15 days of the trip start date and a 25% refund on the cancellation before 10 days. Furthermore, cancellations made within a week will be considered as no show & no refund will be made.
