Once you check in and settle, the representative will provide a detailed program briefing, including an overview of your upcoming trip. Also, any necessary documentation will be reviewed and finalized to ensure everything is in order.
If time permits, you can explore the local area on a short walk. This will allow you to acclimatize to the environment and enjoy the surroundings. The day concludes with a special welcome dinner hosted at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic Nepalese cuisine and get acquainted with fellow travelers and the Manaslu Adventure Treks team.
A spectacular flight followed by a jagged landing on a steep mountain runway brings you to the start of your trek at the village of Lukla [2840m]. The flights to the mountain region are mostly in the morning due to the strong wind in the afternoon, so it’s the same for Lukla. After meeting the porters, you head up to the DudhKoshi Valley. On the way, you pass through a popular small village of Phakding and head to Toktok.
You continue north, following the DudhKoshi River to Jorsale, where you enter the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park. It is just a comfortable walk to get ready to climb to Namche Bazaar, which starts at the
Hillary Bridge. It is a short walk to the confluence of two rivers, the lmjaDrangpa (ImjaKhola) and the
NangpoTsangpo (BhoteKoshi) and crossing the Hillary Bridge, followed by a steep climb (for about 2hrs.) to Namche Bazaar, a main town in the Khumbu region. Namche is a prosperous Sherpa town and an important trading center with a weekly Saturday market.
Today, you can explore the Namche Bazaar and stay overnight. Namche Bazaar is tucked away between two ridges among the giant peaks of the Khumbu, which now boasts an abundance of lodges and souvenir shops. It is an ideal place
to spend the rest of the day exploring Thamo 3493m/11447 ft/ Thame 3800m/12453ft. or around Khumjung (3780m/ 12361 ft.). It is a nice old village and, comparatively, a big village in the region. Moreover, you can visit Khunde Hospital and then hike for one hour to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest.
From Namche, the trail contours around the side of the valley, high above the Dudh Koshi. Now you get your first perfect views of the great peaks of the Khumbu, including Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Passing by several villages and numerous tea shops, you descend steeply to a bridge over the river at PhunkiTenga. The town has an excellent lunch spot, and you can rest here before the steep climb to Tengboche. Although tiring, the hike up the zigzag path has numerous attractions, such as rhododendron bushes, beautiful birds, and incredible mountain scenery. Tengboche is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu. You can stay near the monastery with Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam framed in the doorway of your guest house. The last part of the walk is quite difficult.
You continue to follow the river and walk through a very sloppy trail, and the stream seems so deep down. Then you return to Namche by following the same route via Pangboche and Tengboche.
From Namche down across the Hillary Bridge, the trail descends steeply by crossing many small villages, like Chamuwa, ThuloGumela, and Bangkar, following the same river as DudhKoshi. Afterward, you reach and pass the village of Phakding (2610m) where you will spend the night. You are already at the last part of your trek, which is already lowland. Bypassing the village ghat, Choplung, and Chaunrikharka, you reach Lukla, the end point of your trekking.
You can take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Due to the weather conditions, you may have to wait some time at the airport. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you are transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities like shopping, sightseeing, or relaxing after the trek. The day concludes with a farewell dinner at a local Nepali restaurant and travel arrangements to your destination.
On the final day of your journey, a special Trip Conclude Ceremony will be organized by Manaslu Adventure treks. During this heartfelt event, the team will express gratitude for your participation and acknowledge the memorable experiences shared throughout the adventure. Also, the clients are free to provide feedback, which is valuable for the team to understand your experience and gather insights to improve future trips. As a token of appreciation, a souvenir will be presented to you, symbolizing the lasting memories of your adventure and deep connection to Nepal’s culture and natural beauty.
The day concludes with a final goodbye and transfer arrangements to your onward destination, whether to the airport or your next journey within Nepal. The team will ensure your departure is smooth and filled with warm wishes for future travels.
