Upon your arrival, a representative from Manaslu Adventure Treks will warmly welcome you at the airport with a flower garland and ensure a smooth transfer to your designated hotel in the city. Once you check in and settle, the representative will provide a detailed program briefing, including an overview of your upcoming trip. Also, any necessary documentation will be reviewed and finalized to ensure everything is in order.
If time permits, you can explore the local area on a short walk. This will allow you to acclimatize to the environment and enjoy the surroundings. The day concludes with a special welcome dinner hosted at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic Nepalese cuisine and get acquainted with fellow travelers and the Manaslu Adventure Treks team.
Today, you will start your adventure with a scenic bus ride from Kathmandu to Betrabati, followed by a trek to Sathdobate (1598m). This day introduces you to the beauty of Nepal’s rural landscapes and the initial phases of the Ganesh Himal trekking route. On the bus ride, you will pass through scenic countryside landscapes, including lush green valleys, terraced fields, small villages, and beautiful rivers like the Trisuli River. Upon reaching Betrabati, a small village located at the edge, you will prepare for the trek ahead. The trail from Betrabati to Sathdobate gradually ascends through terraced fields, villages, and forested areas. The route is well-marked and easy to follow, though there will be some steady uphill stretches. You will pass through small Magar and Gurung villages, where you can witness the daily lives of the local people. You will enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding hills and peaks in the distance and finally reach Sathdobate, a small & peaceful village. You stay overnight at Sathdobate.
You’ll continue your journey by trekking from Sathdobate to Bhalche, gaining altitude as you make your way deeper into the Ganesh Himal region. The trail ascends steadily, passing through dense forests, rural villages, and terraced fields. The path is well-marked, and the trail winds its way through the lush greenery typical of the lower Himalayan foothills. The trail will take you through a few small Magar and Gurung villages, where you can witness local life. As you climb higher, the views of the Ganesh Himal massif become more prominent. The trail climbs steadily, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Upon reaching Bhalche, you will be welcomed with breathtaking views of the Ganesh Himal range, where you will stay overnight.
Today, you will trek from Bhalche to Gagel (3510m), gaining more altitude as you continue your journey into the higher reaches of the Ganesh Himal region. The trek starts with a gradual ascent, but as you gain altitude, the path becomes steeper and more challenging. You will pass through forests, grasslands, and open meadows that offer views of distant snow-capped peaks. As you ascend, the trail will pass through beautiful rhododendrons and pine forests, providing shade and a lush atmosphere. Throughout the trek, you will be treated to majestic views of the Ganesh Himal range, particularly Ganesh I (7,422 m), Ganesh II (7,118 m), and Manaslu in the distance. The route crosses several small streams, and you may come across beautiful waterfalls cascading down the hillsides, adding to the serenity of the trail. Finally, you reach Gagel, a small settlement, where you stay overnight.
As you trek from Gagel to Rupchet (4040m), you gain significant altitude as you move further into the heart of the Ganesh Himal region. The trek starts with a gradual climb and then becomes more challenging as you approach Rupchet. You will pass through alpine meadows, rocky sections, and high-altitude terrain. The air will feel thinner, and the temperatures will be colder, especially in the morning. You will pass through sparse rhododendron forests and pine trees. As you ascend, the views of the Ganesh Himal peaks will become more spectacular. Ganesh I (7,422 m) and Ganesh II (7,118 m) will dominate the skyline, and you may even get glimpses of Manaslu and the surrounding peaks. The area is rich in flora and fauna, and you might spot high-altitude birds, such as Himalayan Griffon vultures. The trail finally reaches Rupchet, a high-altitude camp. You stay overnight in Rupchet.
Today, you will trek from Rupchet to Kharka (2601m), crossing the Singla Pass at 4045m, offering panoramic views of surrounding peaks. The day begins with a steep ascent leaving Rupchet behind and heading towards the Singla Pass. This is a challenging climb, and you may notice the thinning air as you approach the pass. At the top of the Singla Pass, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the peaks, including the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu ranges. You will begin your descent towards Kharka, the descent is steep, and you will pass through forests, meadows, and rocky slopes. As you lose altitude, the air will become thicker and more comfortable. The trail to Kharka is scenic and peaceful, with the backdrop of the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu ranges. You stay overnight at Kharka.
You will descend from Kharka to Boran, a lower-altitude campsite located at 1800m. The day starts with a gradual descent through lush forests, transitioning from high-altitude alpine meadows to lower-elevation subtropical vegetation. You will pass through dense rhododendron and pine forests, and possibly encounter some wildlife. As you descend, you will pass through a few remote villages where you will get to see the local way of life. The landscape shifts as you leave the high-altitude terrain behind, moving into a green, terraced valley area where rice, millet, and vegetables are cultivated. Throughout the descent, you get stunning views of the Ganesh Himal range in the distance, as well as the surrounding hills and valleys. Finally, you reach Boran, a scenic camping area, where you stay overnight.
You will descend from Boran to Kuri (1650m), a relaxed trek through the lower foothills, with beautiful scenery, and rural landscapes. The trail begins with a gentle descent through lush forests and terraced fields. You will pass through agricultural areas where locals cultivate crops, like rice, corn, and vegetables. As you descend, the views of the surrounding Ganesh Himal range and other nearby peaks remain stunning, and you will see the contrast between the lower-altitude landscape and the high mountains in the distance. There may be a few river crossings along the trail, providing picturesque views of the rushing water and the valley below. As you approach Kuri, you will pass through small villages where you will get a glimpse of rural life. Finally, you reach Kuri, a small settlement surrounded by terraced fields, forests, and hills, where you stay overnight.
Today, you will trek from Kuri to Darkhaphedi (1400m), a charming spot in the lower foothills of the Ganesh Himal region, known for its peaceful environment and beautiful landscapes. As you leave Kuri, you will descend through beautiful terraced fields where locals grow crops like rice, maize, and vegetables. The trail will take you through dense forests of rhododendrons and pine, with the possibility of spotting wildlife like birds and small animals. You will likely cross a few rivers or streams as you make your way toward Darkhaphedi. While the day’s trek is mainly a descent, the views of the surrounding hills, valleys, and distant Ganesh Himal peaks continue to be spectacular, adding to the enjoyment of the day. Darkhaphedi is a serene camping area, where you stay overnight.
You will continue your journey from Darkhaphedi to Phulkharka (1600m), a relatively easy trek with a moderate descent, allowing you to enjoy the lush surroundings and tranquil environment. The trek will begin with a gentle ascent from Darkhaphedi to Phulkharka, passing through forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages. Throughout the trek, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Ganesh Himal range and other nearby mountains, a constant reminder of the grandeur of the Himalayas. As you approach Phulkharka, you will pass through some quaint villages. These villages are home to friendly locals who follow traditional farming practices. Phulkharka is a peaceful village, where you stay overnight.
Today, you will embark on a trip from Phulkharka to Ganga Jamuna (2923m, which offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. After exploring Ganga Jamuna, you will return to Phulkharka for another night of camping. The trail starts with a gradual ascent through forests and terraced fields, offering stunning views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. As you climb higher, you will pass through dense forests, primarily composed of rhododendrons and pine trees. The environment feels tranquil and refreshing, with the possibility of seeing local wildlife such as birds and small animals. After reaching Ganga Jamuna, you will be rewarded with beautiful alpine scenery, including two sacred lakes, considered holy by the locals. These crystal-clear lakes, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes, are a peaceful and awe-inspiring sight. After spending time exploring Ganga Jamuna, you will descend back to Phulkharka, to stay overnight.
You will descend from Phulkharka to Arughat (600m), a bustling town in the Gorkha district. This marks the final leg of your trek, where you will leave the high-altitude areas behind and head toward the lower, more populated regions. As you begin your trek, you will descend through forests and small villages, passing by terraced fields and farmlands. You may encounter locals working in the fields or heading to nearby markets. You will cross several rivers or streams, adding a refreshing element to the trek. The river valleys and lush green surroundings make this descent quite picturesque. Although descending, you will still enjoy great views of the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu ranges from lower altitudes. Finally, you arrive in Arughat, a lively town surrounded by hills & rivers, where you stay overnight.
Today, you will conclude your trekking adventure with a bus ride from Arughat back to Kathmandu. The road is winding and bumpy in places, especially in the hilly sections. The first part of the journey will be through hilly terrain, and the latter part will bring you down to the Kathmandu Valley. As you drive, you will pass through beautiful rural landscapes, villages, and terraced fields. You may get glimpses of the Ganesh Himal range in the distance, offering one last view of the mountains from lower altitudes. As you near Kathmandu, the landscape will gradually change from rural settings to urbanization, with increased traffic and the busy atmosphere of the Kathmandu Valley. The day concludes with a farewell dinner at a local Nepali restaurant and travel arrangements to your destination.
On the final day of your journey, a special Trip Conclude Ceremony will be organized by Manaslu Adventure treks. During this heartfelt event, the team will express gratitude for your participation and acknowledge the memorable experiences shared throughout the adventure. Also, the clients are free to provide feedback, which is valuable for the team to understand your experience and gather insights to improve future trips. As a token of appreciation, a souvenir will be presented to you, symbolizing the lasting memories of your adventure and deep connection to Nepal’s culture and natural beauty.
The day concludes with a final goodbye and transfer arrangements to your onward destination, whether to the airport or your next journey within Nepal.
For trip confirmation, please make a down payment minimum of USD 200.00 or 20% of the total cost. In some cases, the trip cost could be high depending upon the domestic flight or trekking & expedition. In such cases, we will inform you accordingly. Please note that the deposit amount is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. However, the trip could be rescheduled again. The remaining dues must be paid 15 days before departure by bank transfer or on arrival in Kathmandu.
No refund will be made for the initial booking confirmation amount provided under any circumstances of cancellation. However, we offer to reschedule your trip for any other date of next season or within a year. Manaslu Adventure Treks will refund you if you have paid a further amount of the trip cost. If the cancellation is made before 30 days of the trip start date, then, a full refund will be made except the booking confirmation amount. Likewise, a 50% refund will be made on cancellation before 15 days of the trip start date and a 25% refund on the cancellation before 10 days. Furthermore, cancellations made within a week will be considered as no show & no refund will be made.
