The tour begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital and & cultural hub. Here, visitors explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, where royal palaces and pagoda-style temples testify to the Malla dynasty’s grandeur. Nearby, the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) offers panoramic views of the city along with spiritual serenity, while the Pashupatinath temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, showcases vibrant rituals along the Bagmati River. The peaceful Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest spherical stupas in the world, is a focal point of Tibetan Buddhist culture in Nepal. Upon your arrival, a representative from Manaslu Adventure Treks will warmly welcome you at the airport with a flower garland and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel in the city. Once you check in and settle, the representative will provide a detailed program briefing, including an overview of your upcoming tour. In the evening, you enjoy a welcome dinner at a local Nepali restaurant, accompanied by a live folk dance performance. This gentle introduction sets the tone for the days of exploration ahead, blending comfort with a taste of Nepal’s rich hospitality and heritage.
Today, your cultural journey begins with a full-day exploration of Kathmandu’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The morning starts at Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you will walk through centuries-old palaces, courtyards, and temples that once served as the royal residence of the Malla kings. You will also visit the Kumari Ghar, home to the living goddess, and experience the vibrant energy of Asan Bazaar, a traditional market bustling with locals. In the afternoon, you will head to the sacred Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, perched atop a hill with panoramic views of the valley. From there, you continue to Pashupatinath temple, Nepal’s most August Hindu shrine, where you will witness intricate rituals and funeral ceremonies by the banks of the Bagmati River. The day concludes with a serene visit to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world, where you can walk the kora (circumambulation) alongside monks and devotees under fluttering prayer flags. Today, the journey takes you to Patan, also known as Lalitpur, one of the three ancient cities of the Kathmandu Valley and a center of Newar culture and craftsmanship. The tour begins at Patan Durbar Square, a stunning showcase of traditional Newari architecture, where you will explore intricately designed temples, royal courtyards, and the impressive Krishna Mandir, built entirely of stone. You will also visit the Golden Temple (Hiryana Varna Mahavihar), a sacred Buddhist monastery adorned with exquisite metalwork. As you wander through the narrow lanes, you will have the chance to observe artisans at work – carving wood, casting bronze statues, and painting traditional Thangka art. In the afternoon, you can take part in an optional workshop or cultural demonstration to gain hands-on experience with local crafts. The slower pace of Patan, combined with its deep artistic roots and religious harmony, offers a meaningful and intimate cultural experience.
Today, you will travel to Bhaktapur, the best preserved of the Kathmandu Valley’s three medieval cities and a living museum of Newar culture. As you enter the historic Bhaktapur Durbar Square, you will be transported back in time by the grandeur of the 55-Window palace, the stone Vatsala Temple, and the towering five-story Nyatapola Temple, the tallest pagoda in Nepal. The city’s charming brick-paved alleys lead to Pottery Square, where traditional potters shape clay by hand and foot-powered wheels, offering you the chance to try your hand at pottery. After a traditional Newari lunch in a heritage restaurant, continue exploring Dattatreya Square, home to the famous Peacock Window and several ancient monasteries. Bhaktapur’s timeless architecture, vibrant artisan life, and spiritual ambiance provide a deep and authentic cultural experience, making this a highlight of your Kathmandu Valley tour.
On the final day of your journey, a special Trip Conclude Ceremony will be organized by Manaslu Adventure Treks. During this heartfelt event, the team will express gratitude for your participation and acknowledge the memorable experiences shared throughout the adventure. Also, the clients are free to provide feedback, which is valuable for the team to understand their experience and gather insights to improve future trips. As a token of appreciation, a souvenir will be presented to you, symbolizing the lasting memories of your adventure and deep connection to Nepal’s culture and natural beauty.
The day concludes with a final goodbye and transfer arrangements to your onward destination, whether to the airport or your next journey within Nepal. The team will ensure your departure is smooth and filled with warm wishes for future travels.
For trip confirmation, please make a down payment minimum of USD 200.00 or 20% of the total cost. In some cases, the trip cost could be high depending upon the domestic flight or trekking & expedition. In such cases, we will inform you accordingly. Please note that the deposit amount is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. However, the trip could be rescheduled again. The remaining dues must be paid 15 days before departure by bank transfer or on arrival in Kathmandu.
No refund will be made for the initial booking confirmation amount provided under any circumstances of cancellation. However, we offer to reschedule your trip for any other date of next season or within a year. Manaslu Adventure Treks will refund you if you have paid a further amount of the trip cost. If the cancellation is made before 30 days of the trip start date, then, a full refund will be made except the booking confirmation amount. Likewise, a 50% refund will be made on cancellation before 15 days of the trip start date and a 25% refund on the cancellation before 10 days. Furthermore, cancellations made within a week will be considered as no show & no refund will be made.
