Upon your arrival, a representative from Manaslu Adventure Treks will warmly welcome you at the airport with a flower garland and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel in the city. Once you check in and settle, the representative will provide a detailed program briefing, including an overview of your upcoming tour. In the evening, you enjoy a welcome dinner at a local Nepali restaurant and a live folk dance performance. This gentle introduction sets the tone for the days of exploration ahead, blending comfort with a taste of Nepal’s rich hospitality and natural heritage.
Today, after breakfast, the journey begins to Chitwan with a scenic drive from Kathmandu, which takes approx. 6 hrs. The trip offers picturesque hills, river valleys, and traditional villages of the Terai region. Upon arrival at the resort near Chitwan National Park, you are warmly greeted and welcomed with refreshments and a briefing about the upcoming wildlife activities. After check-in and some time to relax, the afternoon offers a gentle introduction to the local culture with a guided visit to nearby Tharu village. Here, you can observe traditional mud houses, interact with the indigenous Tharu people, and learn about their unique lifestyle closely tied to nature. As evening falls, a vibrant Tharu cultural dance performance is presented at the resort, complete with rhythmic drum beats and colorful traditional attire, offering an engaging glimpse into the community’s rich heritage.
Today, the whole day is dedicated to exploring the rich biodiversity of Chitwan National Park through a series of exciting wildlife activities. The day begins with a hearty breakfast, followed by a thrilling jeep safari into the heart of the national park. Accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide, the safari offers the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, wild boar, and, with luck, the elusive Bengal tiger. After lunch and a short rest, the afternoon continues with a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River, where visitors can observe marsh mugger crocodiles basking on the banks and a variety of bird species along the riverine forest. The day concludes with a visit to the elephant breeding center, where you learn about the conservation and care of these gentle giants.
Today, the final morning in Chitwan begins early with a serene bird watching tour, as the park comes alive with the songs and movements of over 500 bird species. Guided by an expert naturalist, guests may spot colorful birds such as Kingfishers, hornbills, egrets, and the endangered Bengal florican. After breakfast, the adventure continues with a guided jungle walk, offering a more intimate experience of the forest’s ecosystem. Walking quietly along narrow trails, you can observe animal tracks, learn about native plants and their medicinal uses, and possibly encounter smaller mammals or reptiles. The walk provides a deeper appreciation for the subtleties of the jungle environment, complementing the more expansive jeep safari from the previous day. This peaceful yet engaging morning offers the perfect conclusion to the Chitwan wildlife experience before preparing for the journey back to Kathmandu.
Today, after an early breakfast, the journey back to Kathmandu begins, retracing the scenic highway that winds through lush hills, river valleys, and rural landscapes. The drive takes approx. 6 hrs, offering a final glimpse of Nepal’s diverse countryside. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you are transferred to the hotel. The afternoon is free and easy for personal activities. Whether it’s unwinding at a local café in Thamel, shopping for souvenirs, or visiting nearby cultural sites, Kathmandu provides a pleasant contrast to the jungle adventure in Chitwan. The day concludes with a farewell dinner at a local Nepali restaurant and travel arrangements to your destination.
On the final day of your journey, a special Trip Conclude Ceremony will be organized by Manaslu Adventure Treks. During this heartfelt event, the team will express gratitude for your participation and acknowledge the memorable experiences shared throughout the adventure. Also, the clients are free to provide feedback, which is valuable for the team to understand their experience and gather insights to improve future trips. As a token of appreciation, a souvenir will be presented to you, symbolizing the lasting memories of your adventure and deep connection to Nepal’s culture and natural beauty.
The day concludes with a final goodbye and transfer arrangements to your onward destination, whether to the airport or your next journey within Nepal. The team will ensure your departure is smooth and filled with warm wishes for future travels.
For trip confirmation, please make a down payment minimum of USD 200.00 or 20% of the total cost. In some cases, the trip cost could be high depending upon the domestic flight or trekking & expedition. In such cases, we will inform you accordingly. Please note that the deposit amount is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. However, the trip could be rescheduled again. The remaining dues must be paid 15 days before departure by bank transfer or on arrival in Kathmandu.
No refund will be made for the initial booking confirmation amount provided under any circumstances of cancellation. However, we offer to reschedule your trip for any other date of next season or within a year. Manaslu Adventure Treks will refund you if you have paid a further amount of the trip cost. If the cancellation is made before 30 days of the trip start date, then, a full refund will be made except the booking confirmation amount. Likewise, a 50% refund will be made on cancellation before 15 days of the trip start date and a 25% refund on the cancellation before 10 days. Furthermore, cancellations made within a week will be considered as no show & no refund will be made.
